Am I Against Ireland ?

If being opposed to a change in the laws constituent of the EU means that I am an opponent of the EU, can I not oppose any change to our own Constitution in future without being labelled as anti-national ?

This is what is so irritating about the Lisbon debate.
As I pointed out (http://puckstownlane.wordpress.com/2009/07/26/whatever-happened-to-subsidiarity-revisited/) "Ireland has benefited greatly from membership of the EU, and hopefully it will continue to do so as a full and commited member. However, to be deeply involved in and to respect an institution of which one is a member does not mean that one suspends one’s critical facilities or simply stands back when one believes that the instution is heading in the wrong direction with its policies."

Alas I feel it's necessary to vote YES, even though it's possibly the wrong answer. Here are the Top Ten Reasons for No Voters to Vote Yes: http://puckstownlane.wordpress.com/2009/09/22/lisbon-2-top-10-reasons-for-no-voters-to-vote-yes/
